Successful test train run between China and LatviaAdded: 05 December 2016, 00:22 An official ceremony has just been held to welcome the first test train that ran from Yiwu on China-s east coast to Riga (Latvia). Crimt, a subsidiary of China Railways, appointed Switzerland-based Interrail to operate the train. The container train carrying textiles and household goods covered the distance of almost 11,000 km in 13 days. Regular departures are to be introduced after the Chinese New Year. Interrail, an operator of rail services between Asia and Europe, offers open trains for shipping single containers or container groups, LCL traffic and freight on special wagons. | |||
